Active seniors, fall is the perfect season when the leaves turn, creating a beautiful picturesque view. Join us for a memorable train ride through the North Georgia Blue Ridge, where you can immerse yourself in serenity and enjoy the breathtaking mountainous fall scenery. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded 'active' seniors and enjoy some fantastic senior adventures with ASA friends!
This day trip begins at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, GA. We will take the Express train (which does not stop in Tennessee) on a two-hour round trip, covering 26 miles along the Toccoa River, showcasing the stunning North Georgia countryside.
We will gather at 10 am in Gwinnett County (details will be provided) to travel together by bus or van, depending on the number of attendees. After arriving in Blue Ridge, we’ll enjoy lunch (at your own expense) at one of the fine southern restaurants. If time permits, we’ll stroll around the city before boarding the train, where we will ride through the forest back to the depot in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
WE WILL BE SITTING IN THE CLOSED COACH
- Air Conditioning
- Restrooms available during the trip
The cost for the round trip ride to Blue Ridge and the round trip train ride totals $110 per person, including all fees and taxes. Please note that the deposit is NONREFUNDABLE 7 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, and no credit will be issued for unused tickets.
VAN & TRAIN DEPARTURE
The van departs at 10 am to arrive in Blue Ridge by noon, allowing us to enjoy lunch and board the train together, departing promptly at 3 pm and returning to the depot at 5 pm. We will hop back on the van to return to Atlanta by 7 pm.
Please be aware that no alcohol, smoking, or vaping are allowed on the train, and only water may be brought. All trips go Rain or Shine. *****This ticket is for a day trip and does not include an overnight stay.*****
This ride is expected to be both relaxing and fun! We are excitedly looking forward to having you join us for this exciting and relaxing train ride, which is one of the upcoming events designed specifically for active seniors.
